DC Universe reboot → newsarama.com

For pity’s sake, what’s this? Why are DC throwing out the one thing keeping the fans around - the continuity. I can see why it makes sense from a storytelling, and to a more limited extent, a business perspective - clearing the cruft of the last 25 years just as Crisis on Infinite Earths did, and hopefully making the whole thing more approachable, in a Ultimate sort of way, because it doesn’t carry the burden of continuity. However, I think Marvel did the smart thing, and made Ultimate its own little pocket universe, thereby satisfying both camps. However, it’s apparently going to mark a change in direction in terms of sales strategy, with day-and-date print/digital releases, which can only be a good thing. We’ll see…

Eee-by-by-gum.

This felt like a mishmash of old Who and new sci-fi. I say ‘new’ – Battlestar Galactica – dying and having your memories transferred into a fresh body – was…

Oh. That time of the evening. When Classic FM wheels out disgraced former Tory MP David Mellor. How am I supposed to revise to that?
